Home of Hope Children’s Home

Home of Hope Mchinji is a home for children who are living without the care and support of a parent or guardian. It provides a safe and nurturing environment for these children, making sure they have access to the necessary resources.

Young people from different backgrounds have a huge impact on us and all our activities. They highlight those parts of the society that are broken, so we can help them in all possible ways to regain hope and flourish in life.

Through it’s programs the home strives to provide over 700 children with the opportunity to reach their full potential and to live a life of dignity. It offers them a place to grow and be part of a supportive family. The home also provides access to education, health care and recreational activities.

It is a place of hope and healing, where children can find the support and stability they need to build a brighter future.

We Educate

We offer education at nursery, pre-school, primary, secondary and technical college levels. the technical college allows our students to learn some practical and entrepreneurial skills. We send some of our best students to university.

We Provide Home & Care

All the children are given a home. The babies and young children are placed and supported in family-style groups. And those from 15 and over have their own hostel with a matron. The students from the technical college have their own hostel.

We Provide All Meals

The children are provided with all meals from breakfast to supper. And they are provided with clothing as well.

We Provide Medical Services

The children are provided with medical care 24/7 when they are sick as we have our own clinic. The clinic also distributes prescribed medication and helps serve the local community.

We Provide Spiritual Nourishment

At the start of everyday we provide the children with God’s word and share with them our Christian moral values.
